Bodies of Water
Most people do not know the difference between lakes and seas. Some people think that all lakes have no salt and all seas have salt, this however is not the case, some lakes have salt and some seas have no salt. The difference is that lakes are landlocked and seas are not. Salt does not change whether or not a body of water is a lake, a sea or a lake. The world's largest body of ater is: the Pacific ocean at 64,186,300 sq. miles.
The world's largest lake is the salty Caspian Sea at 143,200 square miles (370,886 km2).
